On Wednesday 22nd July, Bhutan will be one of the few countries to experience a total eclipse of the Sun. The viewing point for this tour is from Phajoding, an uphill hike from Thimphu passing through a beautiful forested area. You will camp overnight near Phajoding Monastery before witnessing the spectacular eclipse the following morning. Also includes visits to fortresses, villages, monasteries, temples and other sites in Thimphu, Punakha and Paro. There will not be a longer total solar eclipse until 13 June 2132, so don't miss this opportunity! (* Since Bhutan’s wet season includes July, it is important to note that perfect viewing conditions of the eclipse cannot be guaranteed. In an effort to ensure the best view possible, it may be necessary to modify the itinerary).
