This slow paced tour will give you an in-depth view into an ancient culture that still thrives in Bhutan today. Beginning in Paro, you will discover the vibrant history of Bhutan visiting Ta Dzong Museum and Rinpung Dzong. Explore the highlights of Thimphu including the National Memorial Chorten, 12th century Changangkha Temple, Drubthob Monastery and the National Library before crossing the prayer flag littered 3050m Dochula Pass to Punakha. Here you will find some of the most memorable landmarks in Bhutan including Punakha Dzong and Chimi Lhakhang Temple. This is followed by a tour of the bustling market town of Wangdue before returning to Paro to hike to the infamous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) and visit Kyichu Temple and the ruins of Drukgyal Dzong. |
